Agilan is a Tamil-language neo-noir action thriller film released in 2023. It is directed and written by N. Kalyanakrishnan and produced by Siddharth Ravipati and Senthil Kumar. The film stars Jayam Ravi in dual roles as a father and son, along with Priya Bhavani Shankar and Tanya Ravichandran in the lead roles. The cinematography is done by Vivekanand Santhosham and the music is composed by Sam C. S.
The story follows Agilan, a crane operator who is also involved in small-time smuggling at a harbor in Chennai. He makes a deal with an entrepreneur named Kapoor to deport a man who holds confidential secrets of various countries. However, he faces trouble from his jealous boss Paranthaman and Inspector Gokul Mehta, who want to arrest him for his illegal activities.
Originally scheduled to release on 15 September 2022, the film was postponed and finally released on 10 March 2023. The film received mixed reviews from critics.
